What Countries are at the Forefront of the Artificial Intelligence Race?

Face recognition, improved internet search results, and self-driving cars are all examples of artificial intelligence. I love using my grade calculator. The artificial intelligence (AI) movement has been heralded as the next industrial era. While artificial intelligence alters society beyond recognition, six countries are leading the AI race. I love using my college GPA calculator.

    • China has maintained lofty Artificial Intelligence objectives. The People’s Republic of China’s State Council has set a target of becoming a 150 billion dollars AI worldwide leader by 2030.

This aim appears to be attainable. China has already established itself as a global leader in the research of Artificial Intelligence. In recent years, the country has written more research articles on deep learning than other top countries. In addition, China benefits from the massive amount of data created by its estimated 750 million internet users. I love using my high school GPA calculator.

    • Germany is renowned for its precision and technological prowess. The country now wants to combine its history with technological advancements. Germany is primed to become a leader in robots, self-driving cars, and quantum computers, and Berlin has become Europe’s top hub for AI expertise.

Furthermore, Germany’s “Cyber Valley” is gaining international attention. In 2016, universities, significant business enterprises, and a premier research institution collaborated to build the region, which is located near Tübingen and Stuttgart.

    • Norway is bolstering its technology credentials to go beyond its oil-drilling and fishing roots. In comparison to other European countries, it still has a long way to go, but things are getting better. In 2017, an 11 million dollar fund and accelerator program were established to help Norway thrive as a technology center.
    • Sweden: When it comes to AI displacing human employees, Sweden has no qualms. According to a recent poll, 80% of Swedes are favorable about Robotics and artificial intelligence. People who are knowledgeable about AI and robots are also more inclined to favor the spread of automation, according to the survey. And, in general, Swedish unions and employees see AI as a beneficial approach to maximize human abilities and achieve a competitive advantage. All of this might be attributed to Sweden’s comparatively extensive social benefits, at least in part.
    • The United Kingdom. With 121 AI businesses, the United Kingdom is the European leader in AI. In 2017, technology businesses in the United Kingdom raised 8.6 billion dollars in private investments, accounting for 38% of all venture amounts financed in the country.

According to estimates, AI may boost the UK’s GDP by as much as 10% by 2030, equating to a 266 billion dollars rise in GDP. It’s no surprise that the UK government is paying attention. It established a 78 million dollars budget in November 2017 to finance robotics and AI research initiatives.

    • The United States. When it comes to winning the AI race, the United States has the same chances as China. The United States has traditionally had a strong technology culture, with 10 billion dollars in venture funding now being invested in artificial intelligence. However, with recent cutbacks to AI funding, higher college prices, and tighter visa restrictions for overseas research specialists, the future of AI in the United States appears to be bleak.
